B I O G R A P H Y

Avalon was once a noble warrior, but a tendril of the Shade pierced his heart while he fought one of its minions. He heard of a female Coatl living alone in the twisted brambles of the Tangled Wood who was similarly affected by Shade sickness. Hoping she knew of a cure, he traveled the woods for weeks until he finally found her.

Juliana didn't know of a cure, but the two fell in love and she stayed by his side as the sickness took root and his sight faded. He was the one who convinced her to leave the woods and look for a cure. They finally stopped at a large Nature clan where the matriarch allowed them to stay despite the fears of many others and used her magic to slow the spread of the sickness.

Avalon is completely blind now and covered with bleeding sores that he re-bandages every day and dark markings that are evidence of the Shade within him. Most of the other members of the clan avoid Juliana and him, but he doesn't blame them and is content to stay on the outskirts and reminisce about his glory days.
