When she was a hatchling she heard many exiting stories being told around the campfire of how her mother and grandfather tracked down dangerous prey and fought against invading predators. She wanted to become just like them. So she started her training to join the Hunt, receiving much praise from her instructors. When she finally joined her first hunt, it was just like she had heard it be described. Exhilarating. Thrilling. Dangerous... For a while. After a few hunts, she started wondering if that was really it. The pray was ferocious for sure, but they were only animals. There were no real surprises. They would sneak up to the prey, surround it or lead it into an ambush. It would fight or flee. It would die. All beasts had the same gaping hole in their strategy; they didn't have one. If you charge, it will run. If you corner it, it will lash out. Boring, boring, boring! Lucius offered her a chance to join the Guard, but she knew right away how that would turn out. They mostly dealt with disputes in the clan, so obviously she wouldn't get to use her full strength. There would be no fighting, no biting and no tearing enemies to pieces. And that's just no fun. She took a few months off the Hunt and resumed her private training. She practically lived at the Coliseum, carving out a living with tooth and claw. At first she fought solo, but she eventually gained allies to team up with. They shared their food, shelter and stories together. She learned of the ways of the warrior clans up north, the knights who defended the land and glory of their lords and the bands of mercenaries whose loyalty lied with the highest bidder. Inspired, she returned to the Southern Outpost with a few of her team-mates and formed a entirely new guild; the Warriors. Despite Silver having her doubts, Amazon has kept them under strict control, banning all fighting on Outpost soil. |

Amazon's first familiar was a Blue Tang Hippogriff named Shieldmaiden. They often wandered the coastline of the Outpost together, Shieldmaiden guiding young Amazon safely trough the boulders and ice. By watching her Amazon learned the basics of combat on land, water and air. She has since expanded her range of techniques, but a professional can immediately pick up on her primal, underlying style. In honor of her first teacher, she made the symbol of the warriors guild a reared up hippogriff. |
