Written by maskofketer 		From a lair of esteemed fighters and warriors, Houki was trained from an early age to be skilled in the art of combat. Over time Houki would come to resent the life of a warrior and the violence and bloodshed it caused. Eventually that philosophy lead him to confront his clan leader, challenging her to a fight. He realized the mistake of that as he was bandaging his wounds, far from the sight of his clan.

For his actions, Houki was banished and stripped of his name. He was no longer bound to his clan. That day, as he limped away to find shelter for the night, he saw a sign that reminded him of what he fought for: protecting the innocence and beauty in this world. Taking up the sword in battle, Houki has sworn to fight for justice and protect those he comes upon in his travels.

Houki now travels with another Mirror he met in his travels named Aituā. For in her, Houki sees what he saw so long ago: the reason to keep fighting.
"Linen for the wounded. Ashes for the sick. Black tulips for the dead."
