★Pilot's suspension★
It was a lovely spring day, the day of the Sakura Owl Blossoming. Pilot was prepared to be the only dragon patrolling in his clan, the Aviation Clan. All the others were to try their luck to see the Sakura Owl. Pilot went down by the edge of the Water flight territory and patrolled there. Then he saw a figure bounding towards him. A beautiful female Imperial, from the Ice flight. "What are you doing here?" growled Pilot. The dragon bowed her head. "I am Coldsteel," she said. "I come here in peace, and I was sent by the Icewarden to deliver a message to the Tidelord." "And why do you think I should believe you?" snapped Pilot. The Imperial sighed. "Because everyone I meet tells me I am trustworthy," she said, and that was how Pilot gained her acquaintance. Soon, though, Pilot and the dragon---her name was Elysia---fell in love and soon they had one egg... just one. An Ice flight egg. At that time inter-flight breeding was not allowed, so they kept the egg a secret. Days passed, and then Elysia died in an accident. Pilot was heartbroken, and then afterwards he was discovered by the leader of his clan, Oreia. She banished him and his egg out of the clan. Pilot then wandered around the eleven flights, looking for somewhere to stay with his egg. Soon he reached the Southern Icefield, where he found Elysia's sister, Ornette. Ornette took him into her clan to stay for a while. One day Pilot started to miss the Sea very badly, so he left his egg (rather regretfully) in Ornette's custody, and he left. |

And now Pilot's hatchling was motherless. Pilot eventually found his way back to the Sea, but Oreia refused to let him in the clan again. So he became a loner, made friends with several other loners (Jadestar, Ocean and Patchwork), and soon forgot about Elysia and his hatchling. It wasn't until Pilot went on Jadestar's Quest that he remembered his hatchling and the grief he felt when Elysia died, and when he had to leave his hatchling. |

★left alone★ Months later, when Pilot's egg was soon to hatch, Ornette died in the same Beastclan accident that took her sister Elysia. The egg hatched shortly after Ornette's death. The hatchling fell into his world of sadness. He, finding that he was alone, set off to find his parents. On his eager quest, he went into the Sea and found Midnight. Midnight, at that time not inhabited by the Shade, took pity on him and took him in as her own. Soon the Shade overwhelmed her and she started treating Iceleaf---she named him herself after his body and eye colors---cruelly. Some years later, Iceleaf found a Warcat Protector that he named Savior. Savior protected the hatchling the entire time, and soon Iceleaf went on Jadestar's Quest and forgot all his worries about every-day stuff, and finding his parents. |
