Kabeiro

The Stormcatcher is a harsh boss. He's even more virulent as a person, and no one knows that more than Kabeiro. Taken into the Tempest Spire as a hatchling, Kabeiro's entire life was devoting to learning how to please the ill-tempered god; everything from how He prefers to drink His coffee (black with one sugar) to what sort of inflection and tone her voice should carry if He ever asks her a direct question. As an adult, Kabeiro was sent to the seraglio in the most private corners of the Spire, and it was there that Kabeiro found her life truly became a misery.

Eventually, Kabeiro couldn't take it anymore, and she took her chances on escape, helped by the other dragons who were too scared to follow her, but still placed their hopes and dreams in her ambitions. The young Ridgeback ran far from the Shifting Expanse, her paws blistering and growing calloused as she ran across the charged ground, spreading her wings for the first time. When she reached the Ashfall Wasteland, the hot air vents helped lift her as she taught herself to fly, taking to the sky and building her endurance. Kabeiro is both terrified and exhilarated to own her own life, finally knowing that she can make her own decisions.


While she was wandering the Scarred Wasteland, Kabeiro discovered she was brooding, and found a quiet cave to lay her eggs. Kabeiro hatched and raised her children (Aurelio, Araceli, and Loraine) with love, noticing that despite being in the Wasteland, her children still hold affinity for Lightning. She never told them that they are technically demigods, hoping that they can live happy lives without knowledge of their parentage.
