Biography

His mother is a travelling dragon, she decided to move on from his birth clan shortly after his hatching, and as she was leaving he ran out after her and hopped on her shoulder.

Goliath witnessed a fierce competition between Light and Plague, loosing all of his first litter of hatchlings to it. He saw clan mates come and seek refuge in their clan for a short while, only to head off to serve the Lightweaver in the struggle. It was hard fought battle, but his flight all celebrated in the glow of victory.

Goliath found a beautiful seraph dragon wandering outside the Sundial Terrace. When asked what clan she was from, she looked confused. As it turned out, she had no memory of where she was from or how she got there. His clan welcomed her into the ranks, and she fell in love with her recruiter. The pair had lovely triplets that hatched on Valentine's day. After that they felt they needed to move on, but thought the road was no place to raise their children. They left the three with the clan, and left for future adventures.

Tragically, they were seperated when strong winds forced Goliath away from his mate. Lost and disheartened, he wandered alone through the wilds of Sornieth searching for Isa, his love. He travelled far and wide, asking the clans he came across if they had seen her. Finally, deep in the Tangeled Wood, there was news! A small clan in the heart of the forest knew her! Excitedly, he asked after her. Where was she?

The leader of the clan shook her head quietly. It pained her to break this traveller's heart again, but it had to be done. The winds that forced the two apart had proved to be too much for fragile Isa. While Goliath had been lucky enough to be tossed out to the edge, Isa had been caught up in the roaring winds of the storm's center. It eventually deposited her in the midst of the Shadowbinder's realm, shredded and broken as a bamboo kite. The clan that found her did all they could, begging help from the other clans for skilled healers and supplies, but it proved to be too much. Isa slowly faded away, until her adoptive clan brought her to the Shadowbinder. She would be healed and live in peace, but never again walk the lands of Sornieth.

The clan's leader couldn't bear to see Goliath leave alone in his grief, so she offered him a place to stay. He did, for a while, but the darkness of the Tangled Wood pressed in on his spirit, and he left once more in search of light.

While the Lightweaver's domain would seem the obvious choice, Goliath's memories of Isa dulled any beauty it would have held for him. Here they'd met, been happy, raised their hatchlings... Instead, he sought the light of the stars. Bright and distant and ever-true, they would be his guide for now.
He explored the Starfall Isles, and the shining crystals of the landscape brought a peace he thought he'd never feel again. He was content in his lonely and lairless wanderings, until he happened upon another fae. She was delighted to see him, as she'd been traveling for many months in search of other faes to stay with.

Like Goliath, Kylar too had suffered a loss. She and her brother were forced to separate, as clans were unwilling to take the both of them. She'd decided to return home to the Starfall Isles, even though she'd be unwelcome in the lair that hatched her. Together, they stumbled upon a small and rather crowded lair in the Crystalspine Reaches.

It was eclectic and messy and oh so full of life; hatchlings scrambled underfoot, the two mirrors that led the clan often engaged in (overly) spirited debate, and everyone from the faes to the imperials pulled their weight with a minimal amount of (mostly good-natured) complaining. While a bit cramped, it was welcoming and warm, and the two friends were accepted without hesitation.
