Rin

Rin left his home Clan because of conflicting philosophies between him, and the Clan's leaders, and his adopted parents Enna and her mate Reider. Rin dreamed of being a pirate and mercenary since he was very small. He wanted to travel the world, find great treasures and slay foes. Enna and Reider are pacifists, and wanted him to live a peaceful life, removed from violence and strife. Finally, after one particularly nasty argument with Reider, Rin fled his Clan, searching for a new life.

Rin's first stop was at a piece of land somewhere in Light territory. He stayed there for a few days.

He was then shipped off to Ice, how exciting! Rin traveled through the dry scorching lands of Lightning and Fire to get to his destination. Only to be greeted by the freezing terrain of the Southern icefield. Once there, he was taken in by a clan of warriors that taught him their ways of fighting and defending. When Rin felt it was time to go, the clan sent him off with a full set of tarnished steel armor and some food for his travel. +5 LVLs +armor +food

Rin arrived in a large water Clan, bit disoriented a tired. He felt stronger since his stay with the Ice Clan, and he wanted to put his skills to the test. There were many other Wandering dragons staying in the Water Clan. Rin spoke with each of them in turn, offering to travel with them, and aid them in whatever way he could. Most of the dragons were not interested in travelling with someone, or they already had a companion. Feeling discouraged, Rin turned and was headed back to his borrowed nest when he saw a tiny Pearlcatcher, sitting beneath a tree, petting her familiar. Rin approached her, extending the same offer he had given to the other travelling dragons. He thought her name was Sandy.
"Hello. My name's Rin, I'm a mercenary. I'm willing to travel with you, until we reach the next clan, and protect you from whatever is out there for a small amount of treasure."
The Pearlcatcher stared at him wide-eyed, obviously afraid. Maybe it was the armor? But after a moment, she nodded.
"Alright. I'll pay you when we reach the next Clan."
Rin nodded and then, since it was obvious that she wanted to be left alone, let her be. He hoped that he would be able to keep his end of the bargain. While he was strong, and smart, and fast, he wasn't nearly as strong or as smart or as fast as some of the monsters they could face. He shivered at the thought or what could be out there. Then, pushing the thought out of his mind, returned to his nest, and slept.

After Rin accompanied Sandy to risikasheart's Clan, he wandered back to the water lair that he had come to think of as something like a home. He felt rather silly and embarrassed. He'd so desperately wanted protecting Sandy to work, for him to become a real respected mercenary. But that isn't what happened. Upon his return, he spent several days speaking with the current wandering dragons staying in the Clan, hoping to find another job. He'd almost given up hope, and planned to wander away by himself, when he met Iaso a kindly snapper dragon. When he first saw her, his heart jumped into his throat a little, and his stomach did wild flip flops. Must remain professional he thought, and nervously approached her.
"Hello, my name is Rin," he introduced himself. Iaso looked up from the book she was reading and smiled pleasantly.
"And my name is Iaso. How can I help you?"
Rin swallowed several times before he managed to speak. "I'm a mercenary, and body guard, and I'm looking for work. Would you be interested in my accompanying your next destination?"
Iaso stared at her book contemplatively, and then said. "I don't have much to offer as far as payment."
"That's quite alright," Rin's voice squeaked a little when he said that. "We can figure that out later."
"Alright then, sweetie." Iaso grinned ever so slightly, "we have a deal. We'll leave as soon as we are able. Tomorrow?"
"Yes. Tomorrow."
Iaso nodded and then returned to reading her book. Rin, grinning like a smitten idiot, wandered back to his nest to pack his things. Hopefully, this would end better than Sandy did.

Rin and his companion Iaso were greeted with open arms and warm smiles, Clan Plague-Fang could always use a capable Fighter and another Gatherer. So far, everything is alright, but there are some tensions between Rin and the Skydancer Ceryl.

Rin returned home, after Iaso left him in Plague territory. He was disgruntled with how quickly his bodyguard jobs ended. He'd often considered serving the Tidelord, as his brother and father had. If this next job doesn't work out, I'll go serve the Tidelord Rin decided. When he returned home, he met a young wandering mirror dragon named Pisces, who loved to swim. After staying a few more days in his home, Rin and Pisces set out together, on a new adventure.
