Yes, Caerulus was born into a Wind clan. No, he didn’t let it stop him from doing what he’d always wanted to. To swim. Of course, this never led anyone to believe that he would throw himself from the Windswept Plateau on his role assignment day, but he did that anyways too. Not like his home clan would care much anyways.

None of the Ephemeris can tell you exactly how he ended up at the Crystalspine Reaches, but the most common story is that Caerulus crashed headfirst into one of the spires, carried by a current that was too strong, and ended up washed ashore at the foot of the Ephemeris lair. No one was sure what to make of him, being a Wind dragon with a passion for swimming. They still don’t. Nevertheless, the clan welcomed Caerulus as they had any other dragon, and under Kage’s care he was nursed back to health at rapid pace. Overly grateful for these foreign saviors, the strange Imperial was quick to demand knowledge of the Ephemeris, devoting himself (for what felt like forever) to learning about its purpose and structure. He was quick to offer his services. By doing so, he proved himself an esteemed fisher, and due to the heavy hatred of getting wet among a majority of the Ephemeris dragons, Caerulus is now the lone contributor for providing seafood to the clan’s food stocks.
