Beladon is an a-hole. He's conniving, he's manipulative, and he's willing to do what it takes to gain more power. He won't deny that he believes in the Mother of Birds, but he's going to completely disregard whatever the Mother asks of him. He's hungry for power and ambitious as heck. But when things go wrong for him, he's a total drama queen. He will throw a private tantrum if things don't go his way.
