Biography
Role: Insect catcher
Much like his bestfriend, Raspberry, Blackberry was shipped to the Viridian Labyrinth as a hatchling and was taken under the wings of Pomegranate and Blueberry. Though he very much appreciates the family he's found within his clan, Blackberry often wonders about the parents who rejected him and sent him away. When he was little, he daydreamed all-too-often about what his life would've been like if his parents had not rejected him. Despite this longing for a grounded family, Blackberry tends to flit from mate to mate, pressured one of his daughters into joining the ranks of the GladeKeeper, and has sent three of his children off into the world as hatchlings, much like what his parents did to him. Despite this, Blackberry is a pretty decent fellow and provides a lot of food for his clan.
Personality: Blackberry is something of a Casanova, and could charm even the most unromantic of females. He is charming and self-confident, although he can sometimes come off as arrogant to dragons that don't know him too well. Much like Raspberry, he is somewhat of a trouble-maker and enjoys pulling pranks on his long-time friend.
Relationships:
Timber Tender: Blackberry and Tim share a good, friendly bond. You can often find Blackberry chilling on the back of his bear friend, and Tim doesn't seem to mind the fae using him as a perch.
Aceso: Blackberry's first partner, with whom he had a clutch of four. Of their four children, only Maquiberry remains in the clan. These former mates do not look on each other kindly. Aceso often accuses Blackberry off driving her children, and Blackberry retorts by pointing out that Maquiberry is still in the clan and that she should have a better relationship with him. All-and-all, the two really do not get along.
Lingonberry: Blackberry's second partner, with whom he had a clutch of two. Lingonberry was more forgiving towards Blackberry than Aceso, but she still keeps him at a comfortable distance and gets on him much more regularily for his antics than she did beforehand.
Raspberry: Blackberry's best friend. The two dragons come from similar situations and were raised together. When they aren't having each other's back, they're getting one another into trouble. They currently have an ongoing prank war-- one that Blackberry is winning.
Maquiberry and Hyacinth- his only children remaining within the clan do not have much of a relationship with their father; they have been warned against it by their respective mothers. However, when they do happen to speak to Blackberry, the conversations are rather pleasant. Blackberry really does love his children, despite what his actions may lead people to believe.
