You try to heed the Fae's advice, but eventually your curiosity draws you back towards the flickering lights. They dance back and forth, always just slightly out of reach, calling you farther and farther away from the safety of the path. Finally, your hand closes around a single speck of light - and the others abruptly blink out, leaving you in darkness. You open your hand, but find nothing there. The woods are darker than you remembered. Your eyes are still adjusting to the sudden lack of light when you hear branches moving behind you. "You really should have listened, you know," a voice whispers. "There could be anything in here." You can't tell where the voice is coming from, but it seems to be getting closer. "Ghosts, fairies, flickers... or ME." A purple Skydancer appears, seemingly out of nowhere, shaking leaves out of his odd wings. He grins, introducing himself as Carroll. "Hope I didn't scare you," he says. "I don't get many visitors - and for good reason. What are you doing so far out here? Come on, I'll show you the way back." As you leave the dark forest behind, you think you can see the dancing lights cautiously returning...

Carroll spends most of his time in the Starwood Strand, foraging for his own food. As a Skydancer, his natural sensitivity to magical energies guides him through the forest, ensuring he never loses his way too badly. Despite his wild appearance, he is actually quite a gentle soul - though his skill with his sword should not be underestimated, as he's relied on it and his magic to see him through several tough scrapes.
