Nobody in the clan knows quite what to think of Nyss. Under Warlock's watchful eyes, Nyss and her mate had been brought into the clan. They are given food, shelter and protection and all they have to do is listen to Warlock. Nyss goes unnoticed in the clan, mostly ignored or looked down upon since she is not One Abandoned by Fate (GenOne). Nyss doesn't mind this and she still strives to provide for the clan that offers her a home.
Nyss was born with a twisted back leg. It causes her to limp badly though it rarely bothers her anymore as she has grown up with it. Warlock has promised to fix her leg and that is one of the reasons she stays with the clan. She is in denial, hoping and praying that one day, Warlock will keep his promise.
Nyss is a boastful, temperamental and conceited dragon. She loves to talk and she tries to make friends with anyone who will give her attention. When she has been ignored for too long, Nyss will often pick up one of her hatchlings like a mother kitten and carry it around the clan to catch their attention. She loves all her children equally and thinks it is a great honor for them to grow up and serve a deity. She teaches them random skills, from baking and scavenging to letting the trainers of the clan teach them to fight. She can be overbearing in her attention at times but that's only because she cares.

Orion
The mimick bear is nearly as large as Nyss herself. He often ignores the other dragons around him and will only listen to Nyss after she has repeated a command several times. The truth is, Orion does not belong to Nyss but rather he guards the shadow nest that Nyss continuously uses for her own breeding purposes. Dragon and bear spend so much time together that they are just assumed to be together.Orion is a grumpy, quiet bear who just seems to not care. Bast is convinced that since he has a habit of taking anything shiny and purple, he is just interested in Nyss' necklace. The two are often found wrestling over it in their free time. Orion is good with eggs and hatchlings. When the rest of the clan is busy, Orion will make sure to incubate the eggs and keep them safe. When they hatch, he will continue to watch over the young ones, teaching them proper manners and keeping them out of trouble. It is not unusual to catch Orion carrying several hatchlings in his mouth as he carries them back to their nest. It is also not so strange to find him curled up asleep, surrounding by hatchling who are cuddling into his fur. |
