Itachi
Silent Protector

Itachi's life began as an Imperial. Born into an Ice clan only to leave as soon as he reached maturity. He never interacted with other members of his birth clan, not even his siblings from the same clutch. He didn't share their love for the harsh icy conditions that they lived in, when the other hatchlings played out in the snow Itachi would curl up inside their den where it was warm. He hated the cold.

Itachi traveled for months observing many clans and a few brief stays within some that caught his attention. During his stay within a small group of Arcanists he learned about magic and powerful scrolls that could change a dragons appearance. Enchanted by the idea of changing his form he slipped away on a dark moonless night with stolen scrolls tucked under his arm..

Enraged by his betrayal the Arcanists put a bounty on his capture and soon many hunters were on his trail, some for treasure or to take the scrolls for themselves. He fled to earthen territory hoping to hide among the mountains of Greatwyrm's Breach. It was here that he met Sera; an Imperial belonging to the clan Deidara.

Suspicious of his presence, Sera shadowed him and watched him carefully having learned about his theft of the scrolls from a messenger to the clan. Eventually curiosity got the better of her and she approached him and made contact. Over the next few days the two began to form a bond. He never spoke much but she was drawn to him, happy to be by his side.

Then came the day when Sera opened one of the scrolls, hoping to discover some ancient secrets and with a crackle and a pained roar.. She was set ablaze with flames and her body was twisting and burning. Itachi watched in horror as the only dragon he ever cared about writhed in pain. The flames suddenly vanished revealing the most beautiful dragon he'd ever seen!

Sera had morphed into a Coatl but with extraordinary flame-like markings all over her body. She turned to him confused as to what just happened and saw the admiration in his eyes then she turned to see her reflection in one of the crystals embedded in their den. Delighted by her new appearance she nudged the other scroll over to Itachi, daring him to open it. He needed no further encouragement and underwent the same transformation, his eyes however were stained crimson red and incredible power flowed within his body.

The clan leader was furious with Sera once he discovered that she had nested with not only an outsider but a target with a huge bounty over him. Deidara eventually caved in accepting Itachi as a member of his earthen clan, handing him a hat to cover his unique eyes.

Itachi, with his incredible strength earned himself the position as the clans most powerful and feared protector, defeating any wandering dragons that dare try and meddle with the clan.
