Personality
Pops is an old soul who loves to pour himself out for the youngsters around him, which is almost everyone at his age! He loves being surrounded by young life and helping everyone however he can, but sometimes he doesn't know when to stop and help himself instead. Pops has made a close friend with Thea, who's trying to help him through this. Although it's hard for him, he's taking small steps towards caring for himself.
Before the Clutch
Pops joined his first home lair with his mate, excited for his first clutch to hatch. His mate had three eggs, and together they raised their kids to prepare them for life in their Clan. They had a celebration the night his clutch became adults, but in the morning, the three had disappeared. He asked the Clan's counsel where they'd gone, and discovered that they had been taken in the middle of the night to the barracks, and were soon to be exalted. He was furious and demanded to see them, but after a long fight he was exiled, and his mate was sent to a solitary area of the Clan under heavy guard in case he came back for her. So Pops spent years wandering, doing odd jobs, hopping from Clan to Clan, helping others however he can to distract himself from the loss of him family. Six long years of fulfilling everyone else's desires, molding himself to become whoever they needed, loosing pieces of himself until he was nothing but a shell to be filled with other's desires. Little did anyone know, a trip to the market would change everything. On a trip to the market for his current small Clan, he got lost in all the flashy stalls, and bumped into a russet coloured Imperial. Pops was embarrassed and apologized, but she wasn't worried about it. The imperial introduced herself as Thea, from the Clutch. Pops was intrigued, and asked more about this Clan. Their conversation went from noon to dusk, and for the first time in a long time, he made a decision for himself... he would join their Clutch, and let them accept him into their family
Life as Grandpapi
Pops had had many name changes over the years, but none of them were really for him. Thea decided that he needed a proper name for himself, a description of who he feels he is. He spent his time with his new Clutchmates, getting to know them, and himself, a little bit more each day. He went to Thea and told her his new name, Pops, because he wanted to be everyone's loving grandpapi. She was amused at the idea and helped him change his name, then got the best scriers and dressers in the Clan to help him find his new look. Nowadays, Pops takes turns staying with each little group in the Clutch, looking out for them, sharing his wisdom, and learning who he wants to be. Between his trips, he makes sure to spend lots of time with Thea, learning even more about himself through some guided introspection, and healing from his past.
Social Life
────────────────────────♥︎────────────────────────Pops doesn't have any particular social group he sticks with, but prefers to see everyone around the Clutch. This means that he doesn't have many close friends, but he's okay with that, as long as he can see his favorite friend Thea after a long trip.
