Tarnak is one of the most deligent guards to be found in the entire wasteland - at least, that's what most dragons who has met him would say. Tarnak is highly disciplined, strongly willed, thorough and very respectful. When talking to him, Tarnak will always speak kindly and respectfully to any dragon, even those that might treat him with disrespect in return. It is not uncommon for him to care and respect even dragons who are hold up in the refuges small prison. He is a firm believer in that showing respect and goodwill, will cause more respect and goodwill in return. Some might see it as a sign of naivite, but Tarnak is very aware of his way of speaking to and treating others, if push comes to shove, he can turn to force and overpower another dragon. It is very rare to see him fight seriously and will mostly just train with both other guards or the mercenaries who make the courtyard of the refuge their hub.

When Tarnak is on duty at the refuge, he frequently can be seen patrolling the outer brim of the territory or scouting from the natural walls around the courtyard. He can easily spend the hours simply watching the horizon without seeming to get tired. If someone seeks him out while he is resting on the walls or a high point around the refugee, he doesn't mind telling them about the stars and constellation, something he is surprisingly knowledgeable about.
