Infected

The whispering light grew too strong. He blacked out.

One day, a young Mirror showed up by the den. His eyes were glossed over, and his body covered in wounds large and small. Despite Noctis' wishes, Eldrea brought the poor dragon into the den, and tried to rouse him with herbs.

He awoke quickly, but that was only when the troubles began. He instantly bit Eldrea's arm upon waking up, leaving deep gnashes in his forearm. The mirror's body began to change, slowly, light splotches appearing over his face and spine, and his claws glowing with eerie green light.

Some say he's possessed, but Eldrea believes it to be some sort of curse that he was infected with. When he was bitten, Eldrea saw it, a small but growing darkness, flecks of light, like countless eyes, shimmering in it's hide. He believes it comes from a similar source to Nightmare's corruption, a sort of foul, otherworldly force. A remnant of the Shade, having grown intelligent in its broiling decay. The foul darkness that whispers in the pale moonlight. The Carved Void.
