Origins

Riverfall happend opon the clan on her way to the gods. She is covered in old aching scars and hoped joining the gods would lessen her pain. When the clan saw her pain they invited her to take a soothing bath in their hot springs. The hot water lessened her pain and she begged the clan to be allowed to stay with them and bath daily. She was allowed to stay and join the clan and prays in thanks to the gods daily. Her devotion has led her to become tha clans priestess. One day her scars might fade.
Once she settled down in the clan she tried to find out what had happened to her siblings. Most of them had joined the gods, some were lost. Only one sister answered her call, Sumi. Riverfall was overjoied to be reunited with her sister and deeply moved when Sumi asked her to raise one of her youngest sons.

Romantic
She is very good friends with Zuma and has found a mate in Riel. While she is attracted to him, and that is quite something, she never was attracted to someone else before, she isn't sure what their relationship is.

And now a story of what happened before Starfall 2016:

The deitys what now?!

The priestess Riverfall suddenly snaps out of her deep meditation and stares ahead unblinkingly. Her assistant Sarazea, who had been sweeping the floor, drops her broom.

„Are you alright Milady?“, she asks and rushes over.

Riverfall blinks slowly and looks over to her assistant.
„How often have I told you not to call me that?“

„257 times, Milady“

„Right, but don't call me that. I'm nothing special“

„Yes, Milady“

Riverfall sights. She contemplates how much longer she could continue this venue of conversation before it would become ridiculous. Then she decides not to chances it and cut to the chase instead.
„The Lightweaver went silent“, she says.

„Silent?“, repeats Sarazea.

„Silent. She was just giving me the impression that the new recruits pleased her when she suddenly cut of completly.“

„What could have caused that?“

„I don't know. But I think the Arcanist might be the cause. Starfall is next week, he is bound to be causing some trouble“

„And what are we going to do about that?“

The priestess stays silent and thinks. What to do indeed? Doing nothing is not an option, she would get bored. So is pretending nothing happened, she just couldn't pull it off. And besides, she does want to know what is going on. And besides sending word out and hoping to heard something back there is only one option.
„We will have to go and seek out Rinar“, concludes Riverfall.

Sarazea flinches. Yes, Riverfall can understand. She dosen't like doing that either, but he is the only water dragon they have.


When they reach the Rinars area he is asleep in the midst of a see of colours.
„I'll wake him“, Sarazea volountears with a grimace. Waking a Spiral can be anything from impossible to live threatening.

„Wait“, Riverfall says and tilts her head. Did she just see something in those coulours? A shape here and something else there? „Don't step on the painting, I think he already drew our answer“

Then she flows up and looks at it from above. And really, now she sees it. Figurines, pots and – is that a tusk?- all representing a deiety. But why is that their answer?
That is when she hears the voice of their clans messenger Jurisa.

„THE DEITYS HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO STONE!!!“

Yes, of corse they have. Thanks, Arcanist.

Now, what to do about that? First of all, calm down Jurisa.
„JURISA! GET OVER HERE AND BE QUIET!“

Jurisa shots through the air and almost crashed into her. He hovers nervously next to her and holds his words in with visible effort.

„Now, tell me what we can do to undo it“

Jurisa opens his mouth and out tumbles a incomprehensible story of something to do with aliens, the Arcanist, space, orbs, magic, and pink glitter? Riverfall can't be to sure, Jurisa talks to fast. She tries to filter something useful out of it but in vain. She looks over to Sarazea, who followed her into the air and gives her a questioning look. Sarazea twitches her snout and then concentrates very very hard. After a while she mumbles: „I think he said something about dragons over at the Starfall Iles having set up a reasearch group and bundling energies through exaltation at the Observatory to free the deitys?“

Riverfall continues to stare at her and ignore Jurisas unstoppable babbling. Sarazea looks back apoblecticly. „That is what he is saying. And it does fit in with what Rinar drew“

Yes, Riverfall has to admit it does. And when the Arcanist is involved everything and anything can happen. This is why she dreads Starfall. Right, the Lightweaver and all the others have been turned into stone and sending exaltees to the Observatory will free them. Time to go recrouting.

She wouldn't be surprised if somebody told her next that the world was ending.
