Somnus

Somnus is a free-riding dragon. He left his original village at a young age, wanting to explore the world.

He always leaves a village shortly after arriving, not wanting anything to chain him down, so he became famous as the 'Village Hopper'. He was also known for wearing a mask, a scar showing beneath and above it. Apparently it covered his missing eye, which he never showed anyone.

Somnus was quite the ladies man too, at every village he went to, a few of the girls would fall in love with him. He thought this wouldn't change when he got to Oraph…

As soon as Somnus came to the village of Oraph, he became smitten with the Thunder Dancer there. He immediately went to approach her, asking for her hand in marriage, only to be turned down cold. But he would not give up on her, for he truly loved her.

Oraphaelia, the Thunder Dancer, told him, 'I cannot love someone who charms women then leaves a few days later. Prove to me you can be loyal.' So that's what he did.

He tried to make himself useful around the village, helping wherever he could.

He stayed longer in the village Oraph than in any other village. He had stayed for 2 weeks when the blacksmith offered to take him on as an apprentice, which Somnus eagerly accepted, since he was loved smithery and had created a few things on his own.

After another 2 weeks he approached the Thunder Dancer once again, asking her to marry him. Oraphaelia decided, since he had worked so hard, and stayed so long in the village, to accept his offer.

Somnus was overjoyed, vowing to never leave her. He kept true to his promise, and his reputation of 'Village Hopper' slowly dissipated. Now he was a member of Oraph, along with his lovely Thunder Dancer for a mate.
