Moash, Winter´s Gladiator

A couple years later he saw the hatchling, or rather the grown Imperial, smiling from the shadows at a new member of the Clan. He caught her attention, nodded at her and smiled. Akina blushed, and smiled happily back at him. From that day, they started to be friends - and he accepted that she just didn´t want to fight. She had fought so hard to not learn fighting, he just had to admire the spirit. But that experience nevertheless nagged at his heart - he had been entrusted with a service he had not been able to fulfill. So he looked at himself in disdain and thought - well, he thought he needed to train harder. Fight harder to become a better teacher.
And today, after quite a long time of yearning, he was judged good enough to become an official mire trainer. He still needs to master some of the Battle Stones required, but that is more or less a matter of time. The important thing is that he has the guts to do it.
After his soulmate left, Moash turned a bit sour. Nightshade tried to lif his moods, but she was too much like Maeveen and at the same time too different to really replace her. But now, young Yanisha has shown up in the gardens - and the olde gladiator shows her around, and tells her, in tombstone whisper, stories about the gardens, the plants, and his Maeveen - and day by day, he looks more forward to meeting the younger female...
As time passes, the two grow ever more tight together. He enjoys spending time with her, talking, listening, just being. It´s almost like the old days. But different. Not bad, not good, just different. He lacks the words to express his feelings, but she seems to understand nevertheless. Seems like happiness can finaly return to his life. And in a distant corner of his mind, he starts to wonder how children with Yanisha as a mother would look... And what they would be like...
