Biography
subspecies description:
This peculiar lineage of fae dragons is known to congregate in huge, unruly swarms of nearly-identical members. Each is largely unremarkable on its own, but their close resemblance to one another can confuse onlookers as to the exact numbers of their ranks, giving their swarms an intimidating quality.
Though even these dragons have difficulty telling one another apart, and misunderstandings over identity often threaten to spark discord in the swarm, they all turn up their nose at the thought of taking on identifying features, and they're quick to chastise relatives who draw "too much" attention to their own identity.
The swarm is quick to form opinions, information acquired by one member spreading through the group in an instant. Swarms should be approached with caution - they're known to attack with little provocation, one dragon dropping an unpleasant object on a disliked target and many others following in their lead. Conversely, those who have won their affection may find themselves abruptly buried in anything from alchemical reagents to spare articles of clothing.
These behaviors are confined to the swarms that form when several of these dragons gather in an appropriate place - alone, they live normal lives, and may greet each other in passing without attempting to swarm. The swarms do seem to serve an important social purpose for these dragons, though, and they can be expected to participate in the gatherings many times over the course of their lives.
