While her job may be the least glamorous of the airship crew, Mab is the glue that holds them all together. A caring and soft spoken dragon, Mab deals with Autumn's fans, makes certain Vulx remembers to eat, fetches Mineral back when he's forgotten the time and most importantly, gets Ignimbrite out of the many, many fights the little fae starts.

Beyond Autumn, Mab is the second most popular of the Fantastic Shadow's crew. As the only dragon who regularly interacts with the airship passengers, many remember her fondly and go out of their way to say hello when they see her or send her gifts and letters once they've returned home. She's kind to everyone, even those who are unfailingly rude. Being kind however, is not the same as being a push over. Mab can be incredibly patient, or to hear some others tell it, stubborn. When she has decided on something she's as unmovable as the Earthshaker in a coma.

While it was thanks to Autumn that the Fantastic Shadow got off the ground, it was Mab who made certain everyone boarded in an organized, if not particularly calm, manner. She directed dragons in order to get as many as possible on board and even fought off a few of the Hunger maddened dragons who approached the airship.

For her efforts she received a deep gash in her back leg that completely severed the muscle and left Mab in danger of losing the leg and her life. Fortunately, Scalpel had made it to the aboard and was able to staunch the bleeding and repair the muscle. This saved Mab's life and with determination and a great deal of physical therapy she was able to regain full use of motion in her injured leg.
