 Nakita is so, so beautiful. Every time you look at her, her beauty knocks the breath from you as though it were the first time you glimpsed her. Younger, you were, then, and on your third stint as a guard for a caravan trekking from Dragonhome; there was a nexus where three clans had turned the intersection of their territories into a caravanserai. There had been some sort of festival. Frankly, you remembered almost nothing of the night once you saw Nakita. You know now that the jewelry she wore was designed to catch the eye-- Nakita is vain, and a dancer, and knows that being memorable is the first step towards being entertaining-- but it is her coloration that one first notes, the gold upon gilt upon gleam. The subtle flash of beautiful blue, as bright as the sky on a clear, cloudless day. The chained bells and butterflies, jewelry fashioned from wrought, rare metals and precious stones, are nothing compared to the glory of the living dragon they adorn. She danced, slow and deliberate, each curl of the tail or arch of the back designed to showcase perfection shaped to a dragon’s form. The slow undulations of her sinuous length were captivating. You were not the only one in awe-- half of the watching crowd were ready to fight to the death for the right to kiss her claws-- but in the end (and you still cannot believe it), you are the one whom Nakita notices; you are the one whom Nakita approaches, later, when the fires have sunk to glowing beds of coal; you are the one to whom Nakita confides her cares and fears, joys and sorrows; you are the one to whom Nakita listens to with the greatest understanding; and now, it is you whom Nakita calls her mate.
