Crystalline Guide
When the Clan of the Southern Star moved to the Starwood Strand, they weren't quite sure what to expect. It certainly wasn't a Nocturne seemingly born of living, breathing crystal. Kyan hasn't said a word to anyone since arriving; no one's quite sure if he's mute or just shy. He seems ready and willing to help the clan adjust to their new home, though, so his presence is very welcome.
Some have begun to wonder if the reason Kyan has not spoken is because he can't, and not just from mundane muteness. He hides it well with his mask and the soft, rippling garments he so favors, but a few of the lair's more observant dragons have spotted a certain stiffness to him, and a greying of his skin. He does not allow it to interfere with his duties in guiding others around the wood, but when at home he prefers to remain as still as possible and rest his petrifying wings.
Though magical healing is beyond his skill, as his natural magic is tied up in keeping the petrification from spreading further, Kyan is a very skilled field medic. If asked for help, he gives it, even to his enemies (if the enemy isn't actively trying to kill him). The Starwood Strand is deadly to all, careless or otherwise, if it so chooses, and its dangers leave little room for such petty things as "my foe" or "my friend". The herb pouch he carries is a gift from the clan's other healer, Silver, once he noticed Kyan's talent. Silver is perhaps the only one who knows of Kyan's affliction, and keeps silent about it at Kyan's request.
