· a b o u t Scavenger by trade, Xochtil grew up knowing of the legacy that sat on her shoulders, the expectations set upon her from the moment she hatched. The legacy she ignored in favour of digging up trash and selling it as 'artifacts' to dumb tourists who didn't know any better. Hey, it's a living. Originally bearing red scales and venomous green spines, her unusual colouration came about with a slight mishap in the Starfall Isles. She now knows that strange, shiny foods should not be touched- and also might not actually be food. Still, it doesn't bother her. She's not all that interested in her physical appearance, far more invested in the absurd collections of garments strung together in a poor excuse for an outfit. It's suggested no one makes fun- it might very well be the last thing you do. Put holes in her sweater, and she'll put holes in you. Her companion is an orbiting collection of elements, which seems to constantly be humming. Xochitl can be found yelling indignantly at it often, despite the familiar never once saying a word. · o r i g i n s The first one did not work; she was too stubborn against his will, and took his children away from him. In the end he was left stripped of his power and wounded, but it was his pride that hurt the most. That damned Daedra would pay dearly, but first... He had found another, a relative of the first's. She promised Dirge that the same potential ran through her veins. If he would nest with her, she could succeed where Daedra had failed. Oh how she lied, just to get his affections. None the wiser is he, however. Things would go differently this time. Without his magic, he could not hope to gain the same power from these hatchlings as he had with his first nest. However, there was still use for them yet. Each of them has had a small piece their life force drained out, stored later for a dark ritual, and now there's something... off about them. Or perhaps they were always like that. There is a gleam in their eye, too evil for ones so small. The way they smile and slither about makes their caretaker uncomfortable, and the other hatchlings in the nursery are too scared to go near these three. But what can be expected when you have a sadistic narcissist and a vicious bully as parents? Gods help whatever clan comes across one of these little demons. Read about the process here. · a r t
