Biography

Calliope
The Coroner
tumblr_nj9kyb0AiI1r28672o9_1280.png
plaguev3.png After her adopted sister Calliope died when an invention she'd created malfunctioned, Ayuna fell into a deep depression that made her flee her clan. She wandered Sornieth for almost a week before collapsing somewhere in the middle of the Scarred Wasteland. There she found a hatchling alone, scavenging for insects and never saying a word. Though she suspected it was unhealthy, she took the hatchling as her "sister," bringing her back to her clan and lobbying so desperately to keep her that the clan allowed it. It didn't help that the hatchling she had found would respond only to her, and spoke only to cry out "Sister!" when Amarayne's hatchling minders attempted to separate them.

Calliope, named after the deceased oldest sister, speaks little and quietly when she does. She doesn't seem to hold strong opinions, or any opinions of her own, and so never argues with anyone, even if others try to get her riled up. Though she calls Ayuna her sister, it's no secret that she really sees her as a mother. Ayuna pretends not to notice that, and insists that she is nothing more than a sister. Calliope doesn't argue, though to her the word sister may as well be mother, since Ayuna is the only mother figure she'd ever known.

She took the job of clan undertaker along with Shiloh as she was the one of the few not afraid of such a task. She is the more somber of the Undertakers, appearing more solemn in her duties. In truth, both plague dragons have the utmost respect for the dead, the difference is merely in their demeanor.

Her scales on her body were once a deep black, but during an attack on Amarayne's lair she was critically wounded and the flesh on her wings and body was nearly melted off. Ayuna's artificial skin kept her alive long enough to regrow the skin. Her wings were permanently discolored and the pigment and scales on her body were permanently lost, leaving her with white, scaleless skin. Despite her more delicate health, she continues her work in tending to the clan's dead, not worried about the risks.
