Eggs found in the wastelands are sometimes seen as unwanted, forgotten, or abandoned. Some of the hatchlings born from such eggs fancy themselves stolen from noble warriors or a royal family. Such hatchlings are unlikely to be taken seriously. Others consider themselves orphans whose parents were casualties of beastclan raids, and so take out their rage on any beastclan they meet. Saddest of all, some hatchlings are told they were abandoned because they were unwanted. But Lycus is different.
Lycus knows that he is a child from the Stormcatcher himself; a direct descendant from the gods. And so are the others.
Children of the Stormbringer have, as far as Lycus can tell, an excess of energy. They don't need as much sleep as other dragons, and can do more before getting tired - both mentally and physically. This makes children of the Stormbringer powerful allies to count in your corner. However, they tend to lack empathy concerning the needs of others.
Children of the Shadowbinder naturally shy away from the limelight (or light of any kind, for that matter). They are drawn to grey areas in every subject, including art, morals, and philosophy. For this reason, children of the Shadowbinder are extremely fair, but would not make good judges for lack of a clear conviction (or judgement of any kind, for that matter).

Lycus is a child of the Stormbringer, which (he believes) is what gives him all the extra energy he has. It's not that he has ADHD- no, it must be that he is related to a god. Since Lycus is so... er, energetic, he always has 17 projects he's working on. He's not the type of dragon to get all soulful on you - in fact he has very few close friends - but it's not because he doesn't like to have friends, it's because he's just too busy, and sitting around talking all the time is so boring. He has to be leaping back and forth, and so the physical labor of a forge is really quite centering for him.
His other major personality point is his beliefs - he was told as a hatchling both that 1. he was abandoned by normal parents, and 2. that he was a child of the Stormbringer. He strongly chooses to believe the latter. Lycus also believes that every found "abandoned" egg should be treated with the utmost care, because they are a physical representation of that deity. He is quite compelling and enthusiastic when he wishes to be. Therefore, he could conceivably start a cult... if I ever get up off my butt and write it!
