  • when he first arrived at the clan, he only spoke a coatl version of sign language
  • danika, clan translator, learned it, and stuck by him so he could communicate with the rest of the clan and especially mateja, who has absolutely no patience for people who don't speak the same language as her, which is silly, because she speaks one of the least spoken languages in the whole of Sornieth
  • the faes of the clan picked up on the sign language rather quickly!
  • Tihomir is extremely anxious - it took a long while for him to in any way confidently interact with anyone else but Danika, Kasimir, Kolya, Faris, and Tsvetanka.
