An orphan whose parents have no interest in their offspring, Warlock was trained at a young age by Roil to be an assassin. He doesn't really view Roil as family, despite the older dragon's secret affections, but he still cares for his trainer. Now that he's a teenager and close to being a full-fledged adult, he's started facing the coli monsters with his own team. Charger, a gen one and his right-hand dragon (and only 2 days younger than Warlock), is also a part of the plan the Royal Family have, but their other teammate, RubyOre, has no clue. And none of the teammates know the plans the Royal Family have in store for all of them...

When RubyOre vanished, his heart changed. He blamed himself, thinking he may have done something to possibly kill his friend. Soon, the battles began to change him. He became a stranger to anyone who used to know him. He insulted his own team, making them follow him everywhere and into any situation. He considered those "lesser" than him to have no souls. And he began to make those whom he saved pay for his services... one such dragon was Trick. Too fearful and gentle, she never tells Warlock no. He is not aware that she isn't actually barren, as she claims. He has no care for children, and who knows what he would do if he found out he had more than a few offspring running around in other clans and flights?

Relationships:
Roil: Cared for and respected him, until their argument. Now he resents his old mentor
RubyOre (missing): Close friendship
Charger: Once close friends
Oddball: Indifferent
Sickle: Admires his logic
Miracle: Indifferent
GoldWing: Indifferent, though he does find her pretty
Eis: Has a great dislike for the warrior, and sometimes doesn't trust him to follow orders

A skilled mercenary, often hired by the Royal Family themselves when the Knights would be too risky to use. With no family in his new Light home, he tends to spend his time in The Hewn City, enjoying the darkness of the strange landscape, foreign to it's own Light inhabitants. Little is known about his past, and few know of his appearance. Most only know to beware a large black dragon cloaked in black and red apparel, with a scar covering his right eye that he hides under a hood. Very few, if any, dragons get close enough to see his scar, and live to tell about it.

He spent many months on his own in the darkness, staying within the Clan of Light's territory ever since the Royal Family first hired him (since then, most other Clans seek to destroy him). One day, BlotSky, the leader of the Copper Royal Guard, came to see him. The PC was on special business, sent by the Empress herself, to deliver something. A young Imperial boy, of the Fire element. BlotSky and Keenan had found him while training Shade, and discovered that his parents had split up, and no longer cared for most of their offspring, as both could only see each other in their children. The Royal Family saw potential in a child without parentage, and wanted Roil to start training the boy. The Family had a plan, a plan to create a fighting force of assassin dragons, toxic fighters who could do the dirty business that Knights couldn't risk staining their good names over. And they wanted Roil to train the first one.

At first, Roil had little care for the boy, whom was named Warlock. The young drake was full of energy, and had very little patience. But as he grew, Roil began to feel affection for the boy. Now, a teen and still growing, Warlock is still as rambunctious as ever, and Roil still plays the cold shoulder with him. But deep down, Roil cares for Warlock, and would die to keep him safe. Little does he know, the Royal Family have much in store for the Fire Imperial, once his training is complete...

A while after Warlock left him to be a part of the Royal Family's Rogue team, Roil met a single Imp lady named Ruby. Though he had met many females in his life, something was different about Ruby. He soon realized she was a sort of witch, and she too lived alone in The Hewn City. They grew close, until one day, she disappeared from her cave. Roil spent many days looking for her in the darkness, and even dared to travel far out into The Sea of a Thousand Currents, in case she had gone back to her birth flight, and The Tangled Wood, in case she had wanted someplace darker than The Hewn City.

As he waited for Ruby to return, during which time he managed to tame a Malevolent Spirit, he was one day visited by Warlock. At first, Roil was pleased to see his old apprentice. But it became very obvious very fast that something had changed in the younger drake. He was hardened by battle, and the loss of one of his earliest friends. As Warlock boasted of his victories, spoke bitterly of those he hated, and joked about the suffering of those he thought lesser than himself, Roil found himself shocked. Yes, Roil had done his fair share of killings, but he always had backstories, making sure no innocents were ever harmed, and refusing jobs where he was being asked to kill someone who had done no wrong. Warlock seemed to have no care. He did as he was commanded, forcing his team to follow, and even going so far as to make some of the dragons he saved "pay" for his service, such as giving up food, money, even taking advantage of other female dragons. Roil scolded his apprentice, and soon his anger overflowed. He essentially disowned the dragon he had considered son, and even though it tore his heart in two, he knew he could no longer associate with such a dragon of darkness.

Warlock was enraged, and left with sparks of anger flying from his maw. He vowed Roil would pay for his betrayal. Roil was so upset with the visit, he fell straight to sleep as Warlock vanished into the darkness. When he awoke, he was surprised to see Ruby in front of him. And with her was a small hatchling...

Months later, and tragedy struck the family. Roil and Ruby were out scavenging and foraging, when Warlock's group attacked. Ruby was killed immediately, and before Roil could exact revenge, he noticed something wrong with Warlock... the young Imp was Shade-Touched. Knowing he was too outnumbered to stand a chance, he raced back to the den, and quickly told his son, Wick, to run away to the Viridian Labyrinth, where a Nature Clan lived in an alliance with the Clan of Light, unaware of their allys' dark plans. Wick knew better than to question his father, and left wearing his mother's cloak and herb pouch.

Warlock caught up quick, and sent his team after Wick. Then he faced off with Roil alone. The fight was brutal, yet in the end Roil came out on top. But he didn't win.

As he was about to proclaim his victory and get revenge on the dragon he should never have agreed to take in, he felt something change within him. Warlock did not stay long to gloat. He quickly explained that he had a serum to keep his Shade at bay, enough to make him stronger but never command him. Roil had no such serum, and as Warlock ran away to follow his team, Roil quickly succumbed to the effects of the Shade, and was soon doomed to roam the lands, forever cursed...
