History:
Part one:
The prestory goes:
A couple of two pearlcatchers, named Belon and Dimyidae, suddenly found themselves taken by a recent tsunami from their nest and home in the ocean, to the swampy rivers and ponds of an unknown swamp. Already having bred and with eggs, they made a nest in the hidden parts of this jungle.
A few days went by and the eggs were soon to hatch, but it was not a good time. The couple had found out how dangerous this part of the jungle was - here a mighty pack of mirrors led by their alpha named Jumanji ruled. It was not a place for youngsters and to begin their family anew.
So meanwhile nesting the past days by, the male Belon had been out searching for a way out of the swamp. He had come by a river, which led in different directions. This would be their way out he thought.
Rushing with haste to his wife Dimyidae, Belon though was discovered by something in the waters nearby. Something with four eyes. A mirror.
Trying to get out of the swamp, they sadly come by an ambush and lose all 4 of their eggs. They got in different directions down the river and their parents cannot follow. Wounded and not able to do something, they do what they have to do survive - they leave their beloved eggs to the jungleriver's mercy. They barely escape and spend the next days laying even lower in their cave.
Part two:
Left by the mercy of the river, the eggs went further and further down, long and longer away from both the dangerous Mirror dragons and the anxious Pearlcatcher parents. Soon, all eggs were separate from each other.
One was driven by the forceful powers leading towards the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Another was caught in a web of twisted branches in the realm known as The Tangled Woods. A third was quickly caught by a ever curious and friendly Spiral dragon from the Wind Flight and flown away.
But the fourth eggs of Belon and Dimyidae ended up in an entirely different place.
Sailing through the jungle river with the gentle waves the fourth egg followed the first, right until the harsher and more brutal powers of the Tidelord forced the first egg to separate from it. The second egg had not gone far, before the fourth eggs had pasted it, leaving it in the hands of the shadows with eyes. Over the fourth egg was the third egg already having it's flying abilities tried. If the third eggs brother had eyes, they would have seen that the Spiral dragon where not flying towards the Windswept Plateau, but instead the woods of the Gladekeeper. No, the fourth egg did not end up near it's siblings or parents. All alone was it drifting away towards a rumbling thunder growing louder.
Part three: Where the thunder never ends.
The little egg was driven closer to the darkening clouds. It was as if the Tidelord and Wingsinger was still fighting out here. The wind was harsh and fast, making fun of the water being slow and steady. And the water answered back with large waves, sending the small egg further and further towards the shore of The Shifting Expanse. And here, at the door of the Stormcatcher's home, the little egg was found by a deep blue Skydancer dragon, the egg's energy revealing it's location in the sand.
The Skydancer Chase grasped the egg in it's claws and flew up under the angry clouds toward Highland Scrub. Here it landed in a little lair. There was not much, but a little shade and a small clan of dragons was better than the fury of the elements out in the open.
Chaser conclude that because the fragile egg was not hurt by the harsh winds, forceful waves, or Stormcatcher's anger, the egg must belong to one of those Flights. But which one exactly, he could not conclude. After a while was Chaser joined by a Coatl male dragon with mechanic wings running on steam.
"Whatcha got there, my child? Didn't know you al'ready were havin' hatchlings on your own." Said Custard in his low voice.
"I'm not. I simply found this Pearcatcher egg." Answer Chaser, only a little annoyed by Custard.
"Well, finder's keeper's." Said Custard snarky.
Soon after the rest of the clan was surrounding the little egg. It was now in a nest, surrounded by electricity that gave it warmth. A small crack was heard. Then another crack was hear - and this time the crack was visible as well. All dragons was silent as a small hatchling came into sight. It's deep blue eyes revealed that it belonged to the Water Flight. The pearlcacther was given the name Stirling, because of it's skin. Soon after it was given it's name, it ate the remains of the egg shell, consuming it and forming a small shiny pearl.
And thous the pearlcather Sterling found a home in a small lair, far away from the Tidelord and it's parents.
