THE WITCHDOCTOR

"Out of my way, you idiot."

A single clawed hand shooed the flitting webwing away from the edge of the cauldron and it darted up towards the ceiling, resting upon the dark roots that wound across the top of the cave. Its eyes blinked unevenly before it turned its head around to preen the small feathers above its leathery wings.

The cauldron bubbled quietly, misty smoke rising from it in thin wisps. The same clawed hand lifted a small jar of dark liquid above the pot, slowly tipping it to pour a steady but ample amount of the viscous fluid into the concoction. The brew sizzled angrily at the new addition and her maw split to reveal a row of sharp teeth, her lips tugging into a smile.

"Ah, there we are..."

She sat on her haunches, her back arched gracefully in a fashion fitting of her species and her wings tucked neatly at her sides. As she shifted, the threads of bead and bone draped over them clicked together and glittered in the dim light. She glanced to the large pearl on the shelf as if to assure herself it hadn't moved on its own accord. Bright eyes reflected the red mixture she was concentrated on, efficiently hiding their natural pink color. She licked her lips and turned to reach for a basket close by and retrieve the contents.

She held in her paw a round orb, its color and exact shape indistinguishable in the poor lighting, but it was easy to assume what it was. The webwing chirped and fluttered its wings in an agitated manner. She tipped her head upwards and growled at the small familiar, silencing its whines. Turning back to the vessel before her, carefully prepared and ready for the final ingredient. The smile crept back onto her face and she held the smooth object before her, over the edge of her creation.

"Hush now, you know as well as I to give life... life must be taken."

Physical Appearance:
    Zikkaelo is a beautiful and eye-catching dragon. He bright colors are characteristic of the flamboyant flight she hails from, although she no longer calls it home. She is slim and skinny, with large eyes, although she keeps them narrowed, as if she's constantly judging or displeased with what she's looking at. Her hide is covered in large spots, darker than the rest of her chartreuse body, and her red wings are spotted with what looks like blood but is almost certainly just their natural color. Because of her choice of leisurely activities, she is most often seen adorned with jewelry made of feather and bone, and painted in white and red.
Personality:
    Cynical and sadistic, Zikkaelo is more at home in the plague flight than many of the dragons that were born here. She is incredibly clever, but dark, and she takes only the worst from her past to linger on. Despite being raised and cared for by Ekuloch, her abandonment by her legitimate parents is something that she has never been able to move past, and her anger and contempt over the subject is the energy she chooses to draw upon in order to enhance her power. Still, Zikkaelo is relatively young-hearted and impressionable, despite her age. If you can survive the introductions, she can prove a valuable companion.
