Story
Blind eyes examine you as Protector tells his story excitedly.
Protector was born in the Starfall Isles as an apprentice to a librarian. Days were spent organizing, writing down and reorganizing books and the spiral wouldn't
have it any other way. He had a thirst for knowledge and believed
the past was a story waiting to be found out. This led to him not being friends with many other dragons but he was fine with that
after all knowledge was better than friends right? He was not the timid
sort, though. Any opportunity to gain new knowledge and do something
knew was worth any risk. This eventually led to his downfall, quite literally.
He had been sent to retrieve a sample of raw magic from the Crystal Pine Reaches.
Of course, he accepted. As he made his way down the rocky peaks an avalanche formed. Protector was too busy to notice though and only saw it when it was right before him
. There was no one around to hear his pleas of help. When the dragon came to
only darkness was before him. He opened his eyes to more darkness. He was blind.
This was a fate worse than death for him. The spiral couldn't
learn anymore, couldn't see the mysteries before him.
Cautiously feeling his way through the rocks he wandered. Somehow, he found himself in lightning flight territories. Stormgazer found him wandering around in the sands and brought him in. Feeling the presence of dragons again Protector found a new purpose
recording the history of the clan and educating the dragons to come.The other
dragons help him record the stories to come and you can still find him running
his claws over bumps and markings he uses to read.
As more hatchlings are born into a clan, Protector has made it his sworn duty to educate the Avium Butterfly’s youth.
Personality
Protector believes knowledge is power. Despite his disability, he finds
ways to learn and teach either way. He's a bit excitable over his findings and
can come off as condescending. Still, he cares about his clan and uses his ink as weapons. He's not the best at reading emotions and
it's hard to tell for him when he's boring a dragon to death with his lectures.
