"I stared into Darkness, and Darkness stared back" The most annoying thing about possessing adult dragons was that they almost always resisted. None were just willing to give up and follow The Shade, and even older hatchlings who might survive on their own didn‘t easily give in. The Shade did not like being resisted. If it had to possess a dragon the moment it hatched, it would. And so that‘s what it did, with mixed success. For the resulting dragons were not just shade-touched - they were loyal without question and to the end. Unfortunately, the end came about very early for most of them, as the clans who didn‘t outright kill these beings would leave them to die. For who would be foolish enough to take in something whose entire existence revolved around serving The Shade? [bla bla bla Malura brought Shade into the clan when the latter was just a wounded hatchling. Shade didn‘t really do much aside from lying on rocks and drooling her black shade stuff so the clan decided she could stay. Later, when the emperor attacked, Shade fought it and managed to rip off one of its heads, causing it to panic and flee. Then she puked some shade stuff on the dying leimakid to get that dragon to be revived again (now loyal to the shade, but whatevs). half the clan died but some survived and the shade got to spread its influence, so everybody wins. except those who died, i guess] |
