Does Morganne actually know what an apprentice is? It’s hard to tell by watching how she handles Otieno. The spiral often finds himself being sent to get this, that, or the other instead of learning magic. Sure, he’s picked up a thing or two along the way, but that’s mostly from watching her work, not because she’s ever sat down to teach him anything. He’s actually spent more time learning from the warriors of the clan how to take care of himself when fetching something in the Mire, and he even takes training dragons out there when Morganne claims to have no need of him. Still, if Otieno knows this isn’t how apprenticeship is supposed to work, he doesn’t seem to resent it. In fact, he often seems to enjoy going out to find whatever strange object she wants today, especially if it’ll take him a while to figure out where to find it. The spiral adores her, and as such is unquestioningly loyal to her whims. Morganne, in turn, feels this makes him a very functional mate and assistant. Or perhaps a better word would be henchman? |
Outfit notes: Otieno is fairly whimsical and CN, so I feel like his outfit should reflect that. He's kind of a warrior by accident, so I don't think his outfit should be very fierce. I'd like to keep his accent and the alchemist tools he has!
