The door to his room is no more conspicuous than any other, but everyone says to avoid it. If you barge in, you'll never see him, just the notes and books scattered across the study. Then, if your lucky, the hunk of ice that will send you to the infirmary.

Among the overflowing piles, he works alone and tediously, as he always has. A thousand open books, or so, lay face up across the ground. He slinks from one to another, looking for the answers he wants.

One day, he moved his study into the clan, and although there was much objection from a few individuals whom received an ice-based concussion, it proved more or less impossible to move him. With the fastidious way he studies, they started to call him "Raiakyou", to mean someone who seeks a bridge to the Far Shore.

"What? No I am not making some sort of immortality potion or anything like that! Get out!"
