Sapphire, named after her brilliant navy coat, was once an elite light warrior. She fought alongside a division of knights of the highest prestige, combatting enemy clans, ensuring dominance against other flights, and protecting no less than royalty and prominent clan leaders alike. It was from this that she received her sunguard armor, the mark of a true light elite. She was a brilliant fighter with genius quick wit on and off the battlefield, becoming somewhat of a legend in the process. She was as brave and heroic as they come; fighters like her you only see once a century. However, one day, she seemingly disappeared from the force and out of public eye. She'd selected to retire, instead devoting herself to the quieter life that she'd always wanted as a librarian and record keeper. She had always had an affinity for books, but the life as a light elite had never given her the time to sit around and read as she would have liked to. While she may be retired, she's still as powerful as she always was - Just ask any dragon who dares make a ruckus in her library! She'll drag them out by the tail and throw them out the front door. She is a nice woman to those on her good side. She's incredibly wise, and she tends to speak from experience when she gives advice to others. Sometimes, they'll ask about light elites, and she'll smirk and tell them what she knows. This, of course, is what lead her to meet Nitte, who not only recognized her as Sapphire, the Sapphire, but has since been her biggest fan. Nitte has climbed the ranks to be able to sit on the roster of the light elites herself, but she aspires to always know more. She often times bugs Sapphire for information and stories from her days as a knight, and while sometimes Sapphire gets a little tired of her, she rolls her eyes and tells Nitte what she wants to know. Maybe a little, just a small bit, she appreciates the attention that she gets from the younger wildclaw. She sees a lot of herself when she was younger in Nitte. (c) Rebdomine
Sapphire is a former member of Light Elites - a garrison of warriors from different flights blessed by the Lightweaver herself to protect the Light Flight in exchange for a place under her wing. |
