Ever since birth, the little Light Princess of the country is very well loved by everyone for being the hope of the country. Her affinity with the Light shines brighter than anyone else in the history. She was the one who the light favored over the others, and she loved the light as much as she loved her life and her family, noo, more than that. She would die protecting the light. The Light protects the weak, it heals the injured, and it bring comfort to everyone. The Light is everything. *BANG* The thunder booms outside. The heavy downpour has been going on for one whole week. The roads are flooded and the people were in distress. "I hope the rain stops soon," the princess sighs as she looks out of her window. "It will, milady," her maid replies respectfully, "It IS the raining season after all," "You're right," the princess smiles gently, "I guess it's time for my daily prayer, I hope the sun shines in our country soon," She then strode elegantly to the prayers room. "Do not let anyone disturb my prayer," she says firmly, and the maid lowers her head in response. *CRASH* The sudden crash woke the princess from her prayer trance, "What?" she muttered, confused as she couldn't think of the origin of that sound. Suddenly, the door was kicked open and the maid rushed in, "Quickly milady! We must escape!" she cries out in panic as she pulls the princess who was still on the floor. "What's happening outside?" The princess cried out, her people are screaming outside and she had a really bad feeling about this. The maid did not immediately reply, "We need to hide first," she said as she pulls the princess's arm and went into a jog. Both of them rushes into the princess's room and the maid quickly hold onto the hidden button. A door opens and she pushes the princess in. "I'll come back for you if I live, princess," tears stream down the maid's face, "It had been an honor to serve you," The maid releases the button and the door closes. "NO!" The princess screamed as the door closes on her, this entrance can only be opened from her room and not from the inside, so the princess could do nothing. As this hidden door is such that anyone inside could see the outside and not vice versa, she could see her maid messing up her bed and then proceed to cower beside the room door. *BANG* The door was kicked down and several guards came in, "Search the room!" the head guard commanded, "Head, the princess isn't here, only her maid is," The guards replied after they searched the room, flipping over everything and looting any valuables. "Good, continue looting everything that's expensive, as for me, I will personally see to this maid girl here," the head guard smiled evilly at the maid. "My brother's people! How dare he!" the princess, who witnessed the whole incident, raged as she couldn't believe what she just saw. She can't save her maid unless she leaves from the other entrance, which leads to the throne room. She rushed over to that door but before she opened it, she could see that the throne room was not empty. Her father and mother were seated on the throne as the guards surrounded them. The king seeping in rage while the queen sobs in silence. "Well, well, well," A male voice sounded, the princess gasped as she recognized her brother's voice, "Father and Mother, it's high time that I take over the throne, don't you think?" "Kneel, b@stard!" The king booms in rage, "What do you think you're doing!?" "Ah, but it is you who should kneel," The prince chuckles, "I will NOT let my sister take the throne! I am the eldest, the firstborn, what right does she has to be heir to the throne!?" "She is the daughter of the Light!" The king replies angrily, "She will make our country prosper!" "No!" The brother screams, "You will die today and I will get the throne!" He laughs out in delight as he charges at the king with his sword, aiming for the heart. "No......!" the princess, still witnessing it from the secret room, burst out in horror while running towards her father, hoping to save him from death. The king, distracted by the princess, forgot to dodge and was stabbed by the prince. "NO!" "Ah sister, how nice of you to join us," The prince laughs as he wipes his bloodied sword on the king's clothes. "How could you!?" The princess screams. "Why not?" The prince mutters, as if he didn't just killed his own father just mere seconds ago, "Take her down!" The prince commands, as he turns towards the queen and took her head in one clean sweep. "AHHH!" The princess, who was shedding tears of blood, picks up the throne room sword and charges the guards, she will kill everyone. Everyone will PAY for this. She will kill everyone and anyone, and then she will kill herself to pay for her sins of not protecting her loved ones. She rampaged for days, never stopping and killing everyone in sight. She took her brother's head on the fifth day, when the rain finally stopped. The Light came, but it's too late. She shook her head. She looked up at the sun shining down on her face, she did not feel warm, in fact, she felt cold. Cold like the rain, cold like the snow, cold like her heart. She did not feel anything when she killed her brother or his people. She did not feel any sense of accomplishments too, she felt nothing. As she looked down on her hands, she gasped in shock as dropped her weapon on the floor. What she saw wasn't her own hands or body, there's blood and flesh everywhere, she could even see her own bones in some places. But still, she felt nothing. She somehow knew that she was dead, or she was supposed to be dead. She kept on killing even though she was dead, the power of her Light and vengeance ran through her, that was what kept her from falling. She moved her fingers, they felt stiff. She shook her head again and began moving towards her parent's bodies, she wanted to give them a proper burial, she wanted to give them a last hug and tell them that she loved them so much that her heart hurts so much even though she couldn't feel anything else anymore. After burying her parents in the royal graveyard, she prostrated herself in front of the graves. "Father, mother, I am so sorry..." tears of blood flowed freely from her red eyes, "If only I had been stronger, if only I came out earlier from the room. I'm so sorry..." "Wait for me, I'll come and join you right now," She stopped crying and smiled a grim smile, "We'll be together forever," *stabs* She stabbed her own heart immediately as she closed her eyes as she wait for the pain to take over. ... "What?" She opened her eyes in confuse when the pain did not come and she did not lose conscience, she then stabs herself again and again. "Why will I not die!?" She screamed angrily at the sky. Suddenly, the clouds moved, as if they have their own will, and beam of light shone on her. "The Light!" She gasped in shock, but shook her head immediately, "Please release me from this curse, I do not want this," The Light continued shining on her, as if telling her that they love her and they will never let her go. She will be immortal forever. "NO!" She screamed, "I lost everything today, I lost my family, my country, my people and you did NOT come for me, what right do you have to claim my forever right now?!" The Light, as if ignoring her rant, continued shining down on her gently, as if trying to comfort her. "I hate you!" She screamed as she ran out of the light beam, still in shocked and anger, and ran. The Light is evil! It did not protect her family, it did not heal her people, it's comfort is a lie. And she, as an immortal, is to be bound to it forever. She could not, no, she could never accept that. She ran and ran, until she reached a place so corrupted and evil, that the Light could never reach her. She found a small cave and settled down, tearing her dress to wrap up her injuries. After that, she just sat there in a daze. In this place, where the Light does not reach, her injuries did not heal. Instead, it began to rot and smell due to the heavy contagion in the area. She ignored it all, hoping that it will eventually kill her one day. She sat there for months, never moving, never sleeping. It was another rainy day, as a figure ran into her cave. She ignored him, just like she ignored everyone else who came in. The figure approached her and held out his hand, "Hello, I'm Blood," He spoke softly, "What's your name?" As she looked up, she met his eyes. He had such beautiful eyes that she couldn't help but be in a daze. He looked like someone who had went to hell and came back, still proud, still living a life, unlike her, immortal but dead. "Medusa" she croaked coarsely, it had been a while since she last spoke. Her throat hurts, but she didn't care. The man smiled at her gently, his hand still stretched out, "Would you like to join me in my hell?" Medusa grinned.
