Travel Log
[TrashSummer]
[Day 1]

Ennion had once lived in the Reedcleft Ascent, so he thought he'd take his travels there. If that meant going right past it and into the plague, it was not his first idea for a suitable destination. However, it was a new place to be.
Surprisingly, the Plaguebringer let him in, or he'd be ravaged by now. Ennion was able to land his claws down onto some flesh-like ground. It was in the Wandering Contagion, if he were to be correct. (It was his own fault, he thought it naught to listen to the ramblings of someone like Zola about their homeland.)
The area was.. different, to say the least. So his last resort was to start padding along the ground, maybe look for some directions. It's almost half an hour before he even sees another dragon. Even then, he didn't want to see a female Spiral dart and take down a stag. An unsettling view,
it was. The spiral looked towards him, nodding at the dead stag. Clearly, she didn't know the diet of a Skydancer well. Ennion could guess that she was either clan-less or didn't have any of his kind in her clan. Maybe that was the case.
"Ehm.. Hey? Mr. Skydancer??" She spoke, her voice was-- "What are you doing so far from home?" She wasn't stupid it seemed. She could see the bright green orbs from under the brim of his hat. The spiral wasn't bad looking if he were to be honest. Shouldn't think of that, I just met her, after all.
"I traveled a bit too far, is all." Ennion paused his speech, gauging whether or not to introduce himself. "Oh! I know your type. Can't stay in one place for too long. I know those types, they're a curious bunch-" She rambles on for a bit -easy for a spiral to do- before speaking directly to him again. "My name is Smaer. I'm part of a clan not too far, if you'd like to take a rest!" Ennion introduces himself as well. Smaer drags him to her clan, and they make it there by nightfall. (Who goes hunting this far from home?)
He didn't have much to say about that, traveling this far and losing his way home. Ennion is given a mat to rest on until morning, when Smaer had said she would get him better sleeping arrangements. (It seemed as if she was trying to make those sleeping arrangements into nesting together, if he was to be honest.)

[Day 2]

Smaer wakes him up, nudging his head feathers with her own head. She has little inhales and exhales of air through her nostrils as she does it, which really should be weird, but it's surprisingly soothing. She shoots up when she realizes that Ennion is awake.
"Go-Goodmorning Mr. Ennion!" Smaer seems to dart her head and eyes around, doing what Spirals tend to do when nervous. (He'd know, the Windswept Plateau was full of Spirals, so he'd consider himself a -pretty close to- expert.)
That's about the crux of their conversation before he's presented to the clan's queen, Aura. She's a pinnacle of elegance to be found here, he'd guess. Her wedded partner was next to her as she spoke. He seemed to listen closely to the speech. Another dragon caught Ennion's eye. A male pearlcatcher. They seemed to not pay attention and was the first to leave when Ennion was recognized. It didn't stop him from going after him.
The Pearlcatcher seems to notice, stopping, "What do you want?" His voice, it's coldhearted.
Not one you'd get near to. Ennion was not the normal dragon, so he bypassed the context clued warning. "I don't really know. I just thought you looked down, really." He hears a sigh from the Pearlcatcher. "You're not wrong in that assumption. Someone left." He's looking off into the distance, "I'm Quidlin. For as long as you're here, you'll most likely see me around."

[Day 3-5]

The next few days passed by quickly. In the end, he saw Quidlin every day, almost. When a babbling Smaer came up to him on the fifth day of him being there, Ennion seemed to know what she was going to say.
"Um.. Uh--Would you have eggs with a spiral??" It was a weird question, but the answer was yes.
Ennion and Smaer ended up laying three eggs. They hadn't hatched yet, the two laying by them currently.
"So you're settling down?" Quidlin had asked. There was a clear answer, "No, Smaer knows of my fears from the past of doing that. It doesn't work out." Quidlin understood, he always did. "I've never been able to have hatchlings of my own. Other reasons than yours, of course." They both had things in common, and Ennion guessed this was one of those things.

[Last Day]

It was his last day before he went back, he'd been there far too long as it was. His clan would worry if he didn't come back, as much as he didn't want to. The first person he said good bye to was Quidlin, even though it would be more of a normal stance to say good bye to Smaer first.
He didn't really care for the "normal stance" as it was. As he said good bye, Quidlin nudged his neck, as a sign of "I'll miss you." They were hugging for a bit, and as Ennion left Quidlin to seek out Smaer, he could hear the faintest whisper of: "Y'know I said I lost someone when you came here, and now I'm losing someone again." He hung his head down low, looking for Smaer and their hatchlings. He came up to the four of them. "I'm leaving." Ennion says to Smaer and the other three. One of them, a skydancer like him, nudges his leg, as a way of saying that they wanted to come too. Smaer silently wanted her son to go as well. The duo had left the clan, Ennion carrying his son on his back. His son would likely forget his mother, but Ennion wouldn't.
