Gnosis 
Only the wisest emerge from a lifetime of suffering, and even they still bear the scars from their sacrifices. A battered tome bearing the earliest knowledge of the Plaguebringer lay opened on the filthy shore of the Wyrmwound. The reader - a feminine figure draped in a contrasting mixture of blood red bandages and sickly green cobwebs - lifted a skeletal claw to turn the page, having studied every single word before it. Sometimes she remembered clan life. The loving mate. Doting parents and jealous enemies. A daily routine that kept her fed and sheltered. She most definitely remembered when she let it all go. When she became nothing but a beating heart fed by long deep mouthfuls of polluted air and a pearl of forgotten memories. She gave it all for the death of her ego, to truly understand who and what she was in this world. It was all worth losing. She wandered throughout the Scarred Wasteland seeking nothing but more knowledge. In the eyes of other dragons she was just the isolated walking remains of a Pearlcatcher, probably driven mad by the strains of disease and survival. But Gnosis knows more than they ever will in their stereotypical lives, and anyone who tried to get in her way between her and her quest of understanding the Filthy One found themselves at the mercy of a blunt cleaver or questioning their own motives. As Gnosis became further invested in her intelligence and her body became further decayed, she began to see more to the Filthy One than just a figure of worship and ruin. Even the god had sacrifices of her own - the beauty and nourishment of nature, the company of her own sister, and even her own spawn - in the name of understanding and creating life-threatening diseases to thrive and spread from her cauldron of calamity. And it is in this knowledge and her own personal experiences that Gnosis weeps her findings into her pearl and maintains her belief that wisdom calls for suffering.
