Backstory
A battle-hardened fighter long before his time in the Viridian Labyrinth, Laurus came to the clan scarred and weary, but still determined to complete his Guardian's search. It was Lapidaria that found him wandering the forest alone, and he felt immediately and inexplicably drawn to her. Though he would discover the true identity of his charge shortly thereafter, Laurus still considers her to be his true lifemate.

Though at first he'd assumed that Lapidaria was his destined charge, his theory was quickly disproven when she brought him back to her clan. He was, in fact, destine to protect another: a bookkeeping Spiral by the name of Ovis. The smaller dragon warmed up to his prickly protector almost immediately, and the two have been nigh inseparable ever since.

Laurus leaves most of the defense work to the dragons that have served the clan for longer, though he's quick to volunteer for the "front lines" of most every conflict. He sometimes struggles with the knowledge that his Plague upbringing makes him a touch more... ruthless than his clanmates, but he tries his hardest to ignore that part of his nature. Ovis and Lapidaria remain the closest to him, and very few others know of the kind, caring Guardian behind Laurus's scarred and toughened exterior.
