Irradiated Alchemical Reduction Jawlocker Obsidian General consensus in the clan is fairly easy: Iolite is pretty, nice, and decent in a fight, but she’s freakin’ scary. With some serious blood-knight tendencies and a love of all things macabre, the Light-born Imperial has more than a few of the Garren dragons worried. Iolite’s odd fascination with the downfall of the Second Age and the defiling Shade has a fairly simple explanation: the more you know about something, the less likely you are to be afraid of it. She immerses herself in battle and history because she fears what she could be if she can’t learn from it. Growing up hearing horror stories of Emperors and warring deities could leave any dragon squeamish, and Iolite refuses to let her fear keep her from protecting what she loves.
 Iolite’s predictions are usually pretty negative in nature, contributing to her peculiar character, but she tries to focus on preparing for or outright subverting what she sees. Iolite can’t change what she sees, but she keeps herself from crushing despair by reminding herself that context is key. Just as bad events can bring about great ones and vice versa, so can a tragic foresight lead into a better future. Now, if only she can convince her clan of this while she stands over the Sakura Owl she just body slammed.
