Islet is the protector of their own island. Their duty could be considered similar to a dryad, since Islet is bound to their islet. They can't leave, and their life force is tied to the island, making them basically immortal. The working theory about them is that they were someone who died on the island, but ended up reincarnating in a way to become the island's guardian. Islet only has vague memories of before the island, so they themself don't even know for sure.

They're friendly to anyone who stumbles upon their little haven, and are considered talkative due to their natural curiosity about anyone who isn't from their island. However, this is mostly because they normally don't have anyone to talk to, and are lonely.

They take care of anyone who happens to wash up on the shores of their island. Also, due to Islet's strange situation regarding mortality, they don't have to eat.
