Personality
Some dragons say that Prize behaves more like a Guardian dragon than a Spiral. She is fiercely protective of the clan's riches and treasures, and is unwilling to let other dragons handle it. Every coin and jewel is precious to her, and she defends it with a ferocity rarely seen in her breed. She is seldom seen socializing, and is sometimes viewed as isolated and aloof by her clanmates.

Extra Information
  • Her familiar is a Poltergeist named Spirit. Prize will sometimes use him to threaten hatchlings, claiming that if they ever touch her treasure stores, he will terrorize them forever. These warnings are usually effective, as few hatchlings are particularly eager to be haunted by an oversized turkey.
  • The apparel she wears were gifts from Fern, except for her cowl and her iron necklace- these were found with her when she was a hatchling.
  • Prize dresses up to give off a creepy aura so that others wouldn't try to steal from the treasury. At first she didn't realize it but when she did, she used it to her advantage. You wouldn't want to steal from someone who has those white eyes and smile, would you?

History
While mining one day near Greatwyrm Beach, Ebon the Nocturne was pleased to discover a vein of silver. He began mining, but was startled when he was attacked by what appeared to be, in the darkness of the caves, a very angry piece of silver. It was Prize, a young hatchling, savagely defending the precious metal. Ebon finally pried her off, and, not realizing why Prize had attacked him, continued mining the silver. She continued to lunge at him, and Ebon, deciding that she looked hungry, caught a mouse and gave it to her. She ate it, and in that time he was able to get the silver he needed. When Prize finished her repast, she looked up and saw in horror that the silver was being taken away. She jumped into Ebon's cart without him noticing, and he flew her, along with the silver, all the way to the Everbloom Gardens.

He was presenting the contents of the cart to Fern when Prize leaped out, clutching a lump of silver to her chest. She drank from a pool of water in the corner of Fern's den while Fern and Ebon watched in shock. Ebon told Fern about encountering her in the mine, and explained that he had not known she had gotten in his cart. Fern observed that she seemed quite protective of the silver. To test this theory, Ebon tried to pick up a piece of silver and nearly lost a talon.

Fern decided to let the hatchling stay for awhile. But one night, Zircon's curious familiar Arrow tried to steal a piece of Crystal Quartz from the clan's treasure store. Prize drove her off, and the clan was surprised that she was so willing to protect the treasury. When she grew older, she never showed any signs of wanting to leave. They never asked her to. She had proven that she was devoted to her duty, and asking her to abandon it seemed like a crime. Although she remains aloof, her clanmates have accepted her(except for the hatchlings, who hate her familiar with a passion).
