Seeker Underneath his stiff, cold wings he carries the astrolabe with him. Ancient and frozen, its his only way to get out of the massive iceglazed maze. It rotates slowly, haltingly. A mere breath away, he walks on in the raging storm, wasting warmth and cover on a faulty instrument. His one regret as he roams the frozen lands, his choice to change his tundra overcoat to the watchful adventure of a guardian. Nothing has pained him more than to look in the glazed ice and see a face so unfit for its purpose. The temperature grows colder, the wind harsher, and through the labyrinth of frozen ice the device no longer answers. He falls forward in the snow, without a sound, and does not get up.

Somewhere deep in the frozen lands, a heavy snowstorm catches wind, and travels from within the frozen caves, out into the open. There the frozen wind sees another one. Another body, taken by the Icewarden's unforgiving lands. The cold breath of wind breathes new life into the frozen, and as the ice carries on past the lump of a fallen guardian, fur erupts to keep it at bay. The Icewarden has let his children out. As a repayment for his life, he serves his debt as a Seeker for the Icewarden, continuously roaming the lands, not as a guardian looking for his charge, but as a Gaoler looking for the Shade.

- Progen on father's side is a tundra
- Progen on mother's side is a guardian
A lot of living relatives are from ice, and a lot of exalted imperials on the father's side are in the Wardens prisons.
There must be a reason for this right?
He was born in plague, but generations before him either live in another element, or they're exalted to ice.

- the other ice dragons he'd met so far, had all wondered about his not-so-hardened attitude, as it is common for gaolers to be a force to be reckoned with, out on a mission. He'd told them he was a seeker, but he hasn't done anything to prove himself.
It is difficult, and something he remember from the time he was a guardian, that however you aquire to change breeds, your soul never does.
He can recall the peaceful slumbers with his clanmates as a young tundra, how it felt to smell the safety and friendship of the others. But he can also recall the strong urge to look for a charge after his guardian change, and how it had led him to the southern icefield in the first place.
The burning urge for companionship has since vanished completely, and only left sharp senses, a warm coat, and a nose that tracks shade.
