Healer / Shaman

Although her mother is the matriarch of the lair, Nox wants neither the leadership nor the power. In fact, they couldn't be less alike.

Nox is content to ignore social norms and expectations to be herself. She is loyal to a fault; but only to those she feels have earned it. She is observant, quite literally seeing things that others don't. Much like the Shadows she holds sway over, Nox tends to have a rather mercurial temperament. She is adaptable, finding a way to fit to any situation or need. She is an introvert, preferring to work on her own. Nox is very often solitary, as her work and skills have separated her from other dragons her entire life. She is incredibly independent, relying on no one but herself. Due to these habits, Nox tends to be blunt and outspoken. She states her mind no matter how abrasive or detached it seems. When Nox speaks, she gets straight to the point, often skipping pleasantries and small talk. She tends to be impatient and irascible. Her dark eyes have a fierce stare which has been described as a 'soul-stare' or being able to 'see straight into your soul'. This coupled with her intense personality drives away many other dragons, but her few friends are true and close.

She is the clan Shaman and Healer. These duties include the obvious such as tending to the wounded and sick, and performing basic forms of magic, but it also entails other tasks. She protects the clan from the malicious Shadows while calming and holding power over the less hostile ones. Nox also performs rites, and manages the medicinal supplies. Her eyes are different, as she can change what she sees, to perceive and interact with the Shadow's and spiritual world. Despite the fact that she is self taught, her skills are respected by all her den-mates alike.

The Shadows are almost like living beings, they are the darker, more evil side to every dragon in Sornieth. For every dragon, there is a Shadow, and these shadows reside within the Tangled Wood. Nox coexists with the Shadows that permeate Clan Khazim-Scáth's territory. Despite the more sinister nature of the Shadows, Nox is able to harness their powers without being consumed. Nox is One with her shadow, and that is what gives her her power over them.
