Michael, at the beginning of his life, was a lonely hatchling. His parents were busy with populating his clan while he grew, so Michael traveled. At first, he was unnamed, and often prefered it that way. Though, as he traveled through flight territories, eventually, he met a Nature dragon named Madia. While he did not have a name to give her, he did have a friendship and a travel partner to give her. Often, they revisited his old clan, as he had not left yet, as well as Madia's old clan.

Eventually, his parents both left to serve under the Lightweaver, and Michael made a decision to follow his friend wherever she might go. Upon hearing the news, Madia decided on impulse to leave and either start a clan of their own, or find a clan to join. Eventually, the fledglings wandered upon Symphony and Korbel's clan, under the Arcanist. They were a young couple, and were caring for hatchlings of their own, but Michael did not mind. For the time being, he was not named, and he was pleased with this anonymous nature of his. However, as time went on, and he bonded with Korbel, Michael grew a want for a name to give his long time friend, and his new clan.

His wish was granted as he grew into adulthood, however not in the way he had imagined. Eventually, Symphony announced to her clan that there would be a new hierarchy and naming system in place. Korbel, however, was displeased with this, and announced his leave soon afterward. Despite loosing someone he looked up to, Michael only bid him farewell. Only days after Korbel left the clan, Symphony renamed herself Barachiel, and gave the young Mirror dragon a name for the first time in his life: Michael.

Upon learning of his new name and feeling more confident, Michael became mates with Lucifer, and became the breeding pair of the clan. Soon after, Michael and Lucifer had two children of their own, Azazel and Netzach. Azazel left the clan, and while Michael was upset by this notion, Lucifer soothed him with a reminder of their own adventures to later find this clan that they now called their own.
