Biography

Darunia
Clan Field Scout
tumblr_inline_nll482iWeL1qg2i5p_400.png Much like his father, Darunia likes to explore the unknown, leading to his position as Field Scout for the Pastry Clan. There is no doubt that his curiosity gets the better of him–more often than not, Glaucus sees him in the infirmary for mushroom poisoning or minor scrapes from his adventures, much to his brother’s displeasure. Darunia often exclaims how mushrooms are great and wonders why more nocturnes don’t eat them, but Glaucus always responds with a sigh of exasperation.

Growing up, Darunia always felt slightly inferior to his twin; from intelligence to games, Glaucus always seemed to one-up him. Although he would never admit it to anybody, Darunia finds that people tend to flock to his brother due to his charisma, and Darunia felt a little envious of him.

As they got older, Darunia learned that not everything had to be compared to other things. He started separating his idea image of himself and the image of his brother, taking a little time to himself to think about his self esteem. After taking a mental adventure into his inner workings, Darunia decided that he was his own dragon and he would act like it. As time went on, Darunia found that his relationship with his brother grew stronger when he stopped comparing himself to Glaucus, and now they can talk about nearly everything together.

Though he still feels envious every now and then, Darunia loves Glaucus and works close with him, especially when Glaucus needs someone to record and explore information for him.

Darunia’s familiar, Tucker the Grasslands Trunker, accompanies him on expeditions. The cute Trunker keeps Darunia from eating fatal plants and insects, though he still lets him eat the less dangerous foods. Tucker doesn’t see the harm in letting Darunia eat them. Darunia never learns.
