  ABOUT.
Livna's parents are specialists in rooting out and destroying shade infestations. They live their lives working with and against shade encroachment and the shade has left its mark on them and on their children.

Livna herself has been trained in anti-shade magic and knows how to do all sorts of useful things: free familiars, unmake revenants, cleanse land &/or weapons, and ritually purify warriors after contact with the shade.

Her parents (and training) are strict and militaristic, but Livna is a child of peacetime. Her attitude towards the shade is much more casual and scientific; she herself has no memories of the great emperor wars or of the fall of the Hewn City. To her, anti-shade work is a job just like any other. She can be worryingly blase about the presence of the shade - she's definitely got it under control.
