Niero is named after a dragon of the first nest in Disilluded's lair. With a similar name as Sofosoniero, Niero is worried that she cannot hold up to her brother's reputation. Her brother was the clan's best thinker and dreamer before leaving to serve the Arcanist but she feels she will not be able to do as well as him.

She is an independent thinker who likes to settle down and talk. Sometimes, Neiro is restless and spends her time exploring when there is no one to talk to. (Or if she feels like she wants to be alone.) Often in her sleep, she will dream of her brother talking to her and of his memories. She keeps this to herself and her mother and father, Somnium and Tantibus, as Neiro is terrified she will have to become her brother.
