Tourmaline

Both of his parents have now moved to a Jotünheimr's sister clan in the light territory, Tourmaline (Torm to his friends) was one of the first dragons to be born in Jotünheimr. He grew up helping dig caves for the rapidly expanding lair, and has a natural ability for finding caves deep underground.

His job is to dig, but his hobby is prospecting for gems. He secretly discovered a cavern filled with gems, and spends all his spare time excivating it in secret to keep the plunder for himself. Shortly after finding the cave he discovered the Tourmaline Vulstal, a highly intelligent breed thought extinct.

Tourmaline has had a poor history with familiars, being easily annoyed and loving to be alone, but he knew that the Vulstal would certainly draw other dragons to his secret money making spot, so he offered the Vulstal a home and food in return for companionship.

Despite it being very doubtful the Vulstal understood Tourmaline, and it being very likely that Tourmaline was suffering what the older dragons called "cave madness", the Vulstal has never left Tourmalines side and has proved a stalwart companion throughout all of Tourmalines spelunking adventures.
