______ Tobai traveled with his mother to the Trading Post and followed the strange scents that came from Baldwin's Brew, and fell in love with the idea of Alchemy. He now serves as the Clan's Alchemist. If something in the lair exploded he is the prime suspect.

However, when Victor moved into the lair, the two took to each other quickly, Tobai helped show him around, while enjoying having someone to talk science with. In an attempt to win Victor's favor he crafted him a necklace, which Victor gladly accepted, and the two are now together.

______ Tobai entered the Alchemist Hunger Games against his families wishes, promising to try his hardest to return home. He did decently well, making it to the top half before one of his vials exploded and killed him. To say Victor is displeased would be an understatement, and Tobai is currently trying to make it up to his mate, and also recover from his injuries. Phyllis did what she could but some wounds had to heal on their own. Tobai bounced back remarkably well, going right back to his work. He and Victor eventually worked out any bad feelings over it, talking out their problems.

______ Then the Night of Noctorne rolled around, and with it an egg. Nita was an adorable hatchling and Victor and Tobai had been talking for awhile about adopting, (not that they'd say it to their faces but they'd been a bit inspired by Shadowclaw and Colrath) and thus they took in the little Nocturne. Tobai loves his adopted daughter dearly, and enjoys when she helps him with his alchemy experiments.
